K-12 Running Program Guide
Marathon Kids needed to transform their text-heavy “Girls Movement” Resource into an easy-to-follow guide for coaches across the USA to empower 4th-8th grade girls through exclusive female running clubs.

Role
I transformed their copy into an engaging, easy-to-follow e-handbook. This included adjusting the copy along the way for clearer communication and updating parts of their brand identity.
Objectives
Present the information in a visually on-brand, readable and actionable way.
Business Outcomes & Impact
The guide will be used by Marathon Kids’ 1300+ clubs across the USA’s 49 states. However, it is open to anyone around the world who would like to instill a confidence-building running habit in young girls.
In addition, Marathon Kids’ was able to scale the look and assets I had created to other curriculum guidebooks.

Easy-to-read
The guide was a standalone item with no other accompanying instruction, as such it was text heavy. Aside from adjusting lengthy copy to be punchy, hierarchy of information had to be taken into account, along with purposeful visual assets where possible.
Energetic
As this was an after-school program, coaches were likely to be tired after a full day of teaching. The guide’s aesthetic had to communicate feelings of reinvigoration and excitement to get the running activities started.
